Early this month, Hebe's grandma has passed away due to many years of sickness. This, perhaps is a relief to old granny, her soul is finally freed.
Many fans from all over the world has sent their condolences to Hebe in her company's official forum, I have sent mine too. It is because of old granny's departure that made me write a song for Hebe in memorial of her grandma, as well as my own grandma... she too, isn't around anymore.
The song is simply titled 奶奶(nai nai) which means grandma in mandarin. The lyrics and its' rhythm has been completed. Below are the lyrics showing the 2 verses, the bridge and the chorus. This is not the full-completed arrangement of the song.

The lyrics' content are written based on my own life experiences with my grandma as well as Hebe's with her grandma.
The chorus' lyrics are from Hebe herself, from her message that addressed her fans not to worry about her, as posted in her company's official forum(link). I did minor changes to it so that it flows into the rhythm.
I also have to thank a friend for amending my mandarin to be read more professionally, and for suggesting the lyrics to be in a 2nd person's narration. I do hate writing lyrics as my languages are not strong enough but I have no choice as it is my composing habit.
I think I need to give myself a pat on the back(hahaha) and please go easy on my lyrics as this is the 1st time I am writing a complete mandarin song(writing the lyrics with it's rhythm). I have not been playing music or composing songs since 17 years ago!!! Wow... unbelievable! lolx
I am still considered a newbie in this. I need to go practice on my chords again... but before that, I have to compose the music for this song and complete it.
When I am writing and composing the rhythm for the lyrics, I have in mind that I want it to be of a jazz tune, and I have more or less a rough feel of the music in my mind now. So up next will be getting into composing the music for 奶奶. Hope to finish it soon, so that I can send it to Hebe. hahaha
